The all-inclusive 12-day Program Fee is $2450 for the Summer and Winter programs. This includes all lodging, food, transportation, medical and emergency coverage, educational materials, lectures, and site visits, adventure excursions, cultural experiences, community service project materials, and any other costs as a result of being on the program. This fee does not include: airfare, discretionary spending, a tourism tax of $26 paid to the Government of Costa Rica at the airport, and a few (2-3) discretionary meals during the day on the beach.

Preparing for this trip is an exciting experience in and of itself. The 12 days will be filled with exciting adventures, rigorous lectures, inspiring conversations and exclusive site visits. You want to be prepared.
Apply…First, you must APPLY for the program. You will then be paired up with a Personal Representative who will be your resource and main point of contact as you complete the rest of the online registration process. Once you are accepted, it's quite simple and involves some paperwork, physical examination by your physician and a student questionnaire. |

Reach Out …Reach out to your Personal Representative who can put you in touch with a past GREEN Student from your University. By speaking with someone at your school who has already attended the trip you can get an inside scoop on the departments and professors who support the GREEN Program and may be willing to consider you for Independent Study Credit |
Look for scholarships and other funding opportunities from your University and other private sponsors. Feel free to reach out to your Personal Rep for additional documents about the program, if required.
Lastly, tell your friends about the trip. They may want to come along, and you can get a discount for groups of four or more.

The trip will be an exciting step outside your comfort zone as you join like-minded students on an educational adventure in paradise. Each day will be jam packed with activities, lectures, site visits, excursions, nightlife activities, inspiring conversations and some free time to enjoy the peace and quiet of the happiest country on our planet.
Many students choose to keep a daily log or journal of their activities. This helps you get the most out of the trip as well as receive academic credit from your professors if you so choose.
A typical trip consists of 12-20 students from Universities across the United States. Their backgrounds, ages and academic majors vary which creates ample opportunities for collaborating with a diverse group of peers.
Your safety and comfort during the trip are a main focus area for our staff. Each program is led by at least three seasoned Program Counselors who become a trusted resource as you navigate the awe-inspiring landscapes of Costa Rica and the GREEN Program. Local tour guides serve as cultural gurus and ensure that your group experiences the “real” Costa Rica without solely focusing on the typical tourist attractions.
